As the New Fuels Sourcing & Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing Unicore’s expansion into the fast-growing alternative fuels market. Your role will involve developing strategic sourcing strategies, building strong supplier relationships across Europe, and driving business development projects to grow the low-emission fuel portfolio. By operating at the intersection of procurement and commercial strategy, you will ensure competitive pricing and the establishment of reliable supply chains for Unicore’s global client base.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the sourcing and trading of alternative fuels like biofuels, LNG, and bio-methanol, with a primary focus on the ARA and wider European markets.

- Identifying new business opportunities to expand the alternative fuels portfolio and increase Unicore’s market share.
- Monitoring fuel specifications, regulatory compliance (including IMO and FEUM), and overall market trends.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Over 8 years of experience in sourcing, trading, or origination of alternative fuels, combined with a technical understanding of bunkering operations.
- Extensive experience in business development and strategic sourcing within the marine fuels sector.
- Proficient negotiation skills and a proven ability to build relationships with suppliers and partners.
- Insightful commercial acumen with experience in risk management and pricing strategies.
- Effective communication skills and fluency in English.
