About the Role – Bunker Trader
As a Bunker Trader in their Singapore office, you’ll work closely with both local and international teams, sourcing marine fuels and managing the full trading process from purchase to delivery. You’ll serve a wide portfolio of global shipping clients, contributing to SEKAVIN’s mission of providing expert, transparent, and tailored bunkering solutions.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is commercially sharp, solutions-oriented, and ready to perform under pressure.
Bunker Trader Key Responsibilities
- Execute physical and back-to-back global marine fuel trading operations
- Source competitive quotes from refineries and bunker suppliers
- Build and nurture customer relationships through calls, meetings, and tailored support
- Handle full trade execution: deal closing, operations coordination, and payment follow-up
- Liaise with suppliers, operations teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless transactions
- Resolve operational issues, disputes, or claims in a timely and professional manner
- Support the Trading Manager with deal structuring and operational oversight
- Participate in ad-hoc tasks and trading projects
Bunker Trader Profile
SEKAVIN SA is looking for a driven and disciplined trader with a strong understanding of the marine fuels market and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in bunker trading or shipping
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin); additional Asian languages are a plus
- Commercially sharp with a client-first mindset
- Able to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines with focus and composure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ambitious, consistent, diligent, and a team player
