Position: Bunker Trader – Office Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
The Trader will be responsible for managing marine fuel sales and procurement, optimizing operational logistics, and building a robust customer and supplier network within Brazil and the broader Americas. The role combines commercial trading responsibilities with business development and physical supply coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a strong portfolio of customers and suppliers in the Brazilian market
- Coordinate bunker deliveries and physical supply solutions
- Monitor vessel movements, port activity, and regional fuel demand
- Liaise with key accounts and partners to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction
- Identify and act on new trading opportunities and emerging market trends
- Collaborate with the Americas trading team across time zones and markets
Candidate Profile
- Sales or customer relationship experience required; background in shipping, oil, or maritime sectors is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not essential
- Fluency in both English and Portuguese (written and spoken)
- Commercially driven, proactive, and eager to build personal relationships
- Strong communication skills with a flair for negotiation and numbers
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a regional team
