Denmark / UAE – Danish bunkering and energy trading firm Malik Supply A/S is set to significantly broaden its global footprint with the opening of a new regional office in Dubai in January 2026. This strategic expansion marks a key milestone for the company, bringing it closer to critical markets across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia — regions that are increasingly shaping the future of maritime trade and fuel logistics.
With this move, Malik Supply is not only adding a new location to its growing network — it is embedding itself at the crossroads of global shipping, strengthening its operational agility and service responsiveness in some of the world’s most dynamic commercial corridors.
“With Dubai’s position as a central hub for shipping and trading, having a permanent presence allows our traders to engage more directly with both customers and suppliers in the region,“ said Kristian Nielsen, Chief Commercial Officer at Malik Supply. “It will give us stronger insight, faster response, and the ability to capture opportunities as they arise.“

A Tactical Expansion into a Global Hub
Dubai has long stood as a keystone in international maritime operations, sitting strategically between Europe and Asia while offering direct access to Gulf markets, East Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent. Malik Supply’s entry into this high-stakes environment reflects a carefully calculated strategy to align its services with regional demand, where energy transition, regulatory changes, and growing port activity are reshaping customer expectations.
The new office will act as a regional command center, enhancing Malik Supply’s ability to deliver bunkers, marine lubricants, urea solutions, and consulting on EU ETS & EUA compliance — all underpinned by the company’s long-standing reputation for professionalism, transparency, and market insight.
Leadership on the Ground: Christoffer Edwards to Head Dubai Office
To ensure the Dubai expansion launches with strong internal continuity and leadership, Senior Trader Christoffer Edwards will relocate to the UAE at the end of 2025. He will assume the role of Sales Manager, tasked with overseeing the setup and spearheading commercial growth in the region.
“Being part of establishing a new office from the ground up in one of the world’s most dynamic markets is a unique opportunity, both professionally and personally,“ said Christoffer Edwards. “We are excited to build strong relationships with new customers and partners, as well as being able to support our existing customers even better in the region. I look forward to representing Malik Supply in Dubai together with my colleagues.“
Christoffer Edwards presence on the ground is expected to ensure a smooth launch, while anchoring the office in Malik Supply’s values of customer focus, agility, and integrity.
Building a Local Team with Regional Expertise
To complement the leadership team and deepen its integration into the regional market, Malik Supply has announced plans to recruit traders with deep knowledge of the Middle East, African, and Asian markets. This reflects the company’s belief that local insight, cultural understanding, and regional specialization are non-negotiable components of success in today’s maritime energy landscape.
The hiring drive will unfold over the coming months and is expected to bring in professionals who can support Malik Supply’s trademark blend of global standards with local intelligence.
