As a Junior Bunker Trader, you’ll be directly involved in executing end-to-end marine fuel transactions, from pricing and negotiations to managing delivery and client relationships. Junior Bunker Trader – Key Responsibilities
- Execute back-to-back bunker trading transactions (buying & selling marine fuels).
- Identify and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers.
- Build and expand the client base, focusing on shipowners, charterers, and vessel operators.
- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections.
- Provide daily updates on fuel pricing to clients and the internal team.
- Accurately document trade activity using Excel and the company ERP system.
- Track inquiries, maintain records, and follow up efficiently.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and KPIs as set by the company.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Languages: Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken) – mandatory.
- Experience: 1+ year in trading, shipping, logistics, marine fuels, or commodities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Proactive and confident decision-maker, especially under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP familiarity is a plus.
