FLEX Commodities DMCC, a fast-growing and forward-thinking marine fuels trading company based in Dubai, is seeking a Spanish-speaking Junior Bunker Trader to join our dynamic and international trading team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about the shipping industry and looking to kick-start or elevate their career in marine fuels.
In this role, you’ll handle full-cycle bunker trading operations—from pricing and negotiation through to logistics and delivery—while building meaningful commercial relationships across the maritime sector. We’re looking for a proactive individual who is eager to grow within a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Junior Bunker Trader – Key Responsibilities
- Execute back-to-back bunker trading transactions for marine fuels.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with bunker fuel suppliers.
- Expand the client portfolio by engaging with shipowners, operators, and charterers.
- Oversee accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
- Provide clients and the trading team with daily price updates.
- Accurately record all trades in Excel and our ERP system.
- Follow up on all inquiries and maintain a structured record of deals.
- Consistently meet monthly KPIs and sales targets.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Languages: Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written) – essential.
- Experience: At least 1 year in trading, shipping, logistics, or related sectors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Maritime Studies, or similar preferred.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Confident decision-maker, especially in fast-moving scenarios.
- Comfortable working in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP tools.
